Hi, my name is Shelby and I have been in the Reborn business full time for over 11 years and counting. I actually made my first reborn back in early 2000’ish. I took a Berenger doll and stripped it and painted it to look like a real baby. At that time there was no tutorials, only time and experimentation. I have since made hundreds of reborn dolls that have been adopted all over the world.
My first doll I created was when I was just 6 years old out of a an old dove dish soap bottle. But I didn’t fall in love with the art of making dolls until early 2000 when I was taking a class from Jack Johnston, and some of the ladies mentioned that a new art was getting started, called reborn dolls.
I have taken classes from artist since that time from: Sandra Maxwell, Sarah Mellman, Cindy Musgrove, Susan Gibbs, Jacqueline Krammer, and Enrroke Yophi. Classes are so much fun, as I have learned a lot over the years.
